Atos black belt Alex Enriquez collected three quick subs in her pool, while 10th Planet black belt Grace Gundrum did the same in hers. The two young phenoms faced off in a cautious back and forth match, where Enriquez was able to win by ridetime.

This Sunday, eight women will face off in the Finishers Only 125 lb Grand Prix, for $2,000 and the 125 belt. There will be two round robin pools where the winner of each will battle in the finals.

This Saturday eight women and eight men squared off for the women’s absolute belt and the men’s 205 lb belt at the 11th edition of Midwest Finishers in Lombard, IL. Out of 14 bracket matches, only three went to overtime, and every match ended in submission. Both the men and women’s matches showcased wrestling, traditional styles of passing and guardwork, along with both opportunistic and manufactured leg locks.

This past weekend at Finisher’s HQ in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the 17th edition of Finisher’s Submission Only featured two riveting women’s title fights and a 16-man, $2,000 cash prize lightweight bracket.

This weekend's Finishers Sub Only 17 hosted two action filled women’s matches for the 105 lb and 135 lb belts, as well as a men’s lightweight bracket. Faye Cherrier of Atos Atlanta took home the first ever 105 lb belt, while her teammate Alex Enriquez defended the 135 lb strap. Deandre Corbe, a veteran on the Finishers circuit, won the 155 lb bracket with four submissions in four matches.

Australian stand out Jeremy Skinner defeated Max Hanson via heel hook in under 60 seconds at Midwest Finishers 10 in Lombard, IL.

Alex Nguyen landed a submission in overtime to retain her Finishers Sub Only 115 lb title this weekend, catching Chelsea Mapa with a choke from the back after a regulation period which Nguyen dominated positionally. Nguyen was one of three champions to retain her title at Finishers' late October event, Halloween Havoc streamed live on FloGrappling.

Headed into the final episode of Who’s Next: Submission Fighter Challenge presented by Tezos, the final four had been decided. Craig Jones’ Blue Team pushed first round pick Izaak Michell and Renaissance man Andrew Tackett into through the quarterfinals; and Tim Spriggs’ Red Team moved first round pick Jansen Gomes and 10th Planet submission artist Kyle Chambers into the semis.

Animosities between coaches Craig Jones and Tim Spriggs escalated, and came to a head in episode five of Who’s Next: Submission Fighter Challenge, presented by Tezos.
