Jeremy Skinner Wins Midwest Finishers Superfight In Less Than 60 Seconds
Kevin Sherrill, Sergio Ardilla and Ernesto Rivera won the 3 vs 3 team tournament.
Australian stand out Jeremy Skinner defeated Max Hanson via heel hook in under 60 seconds at Midwest Finishers 10 in Lombard, IL.
Skinner needed just 40 seconds to secure the finish. A well known leglocker, Skinner’s success with leg attacks qualified him for ADCC earlier this year.
Midwest Finishers 10 also included a 3-on-3 team tournament. Kevin Sherrill, Sergio Ardilla and Ernesto Rivera — competing as Kevin & the Kevinettes — won the eight team bracket, defeating the B-Team squad in the final.
In the final, after two draws, Rivera submitted B-Team's JB Bechtloff with a side triangle off of a kimura trap to clinch victory for his team.
Rivera was the clutch man for his team; he secured five submissions throughout the bracket, including the event winner.
Kevin & the Kevinettes defeated team Dan Hart Jiu-Jitsu in the quarterfinals and Assembly Jiu-Jitsu in the semifinals.
On the other side of the bracket B-Team defeated team DSM Elite in the quarterfinals and team 10th Planet Bethlehem in the semis.
