Gordon has promised to experiment during the match, and to show the newest components of his game, as the match will not end — but instead reset from a neutral standing position — in the event of a submission.

Who's Number One (WNO) is back on Wednesday, October 20th with WNO: The Return Of Gordon Ryan! The reigning ADCC absolute champion will begin his return to competition after taking a break due to health issues, with a 15 minute exhibition match against UFC fighter Philip Rowe.

Emerald City Invitational proved to be one of the most exciting events on the scene in their first edition in April, and is back with an explosive featherweight bracket for their second event on August 7.

The 2021 IBJJF American National Championships begin on Thursday June 24. The black belts take the mats on Friday, June 25, and switch into no-gi attire on Saturday, June 25. We could see any number of potential matches in the semifinals and finals, but we're promised some exciting matches even earlier in the tournament. The 2021 No-Gi Pan Championships kick off on Saturday, May 15. The divisions are loaded with some of the biggest names in grappling. And this year, there's a new wrinkle in place; heel hooks and reaping are legal for black belts. New faces have come out in droves, and we could see the crowning of some first-time IBJJF No-Gi Pans champions. But those new faces will still have to get through some of the best in the world.

The light featherweight division at the 2021 No-Gi Pan Championships will feature some of the best 135 pound-ers, and several more looking to break into the top-10. Paulo Miyao will be the likely favorite here. He hasn’t won a no-gi title since winning Pan No-Gi in 2015, and he had a rough go in 2020, losing each of his only two matches. Still, he’s one of the hardest to beat on the IBJJF platform.

Many of the potential semifinals and finals at No-Gi Pans could feature dream matchups between some of the best competitors around. But before we get there, the key athletes will have to move through the early rounds of their respective brackets. Some of these first and second round matchups could be superfights or finals anywhere else. Here are the matches you won’t want to miss.
