IBJJF Champion and ADCC veteran Mayssa Bastos will be going back to the ADCC World Championships, as she has been officially invited in the -55kg division
IBJJF Champion and ADCC veteran Mayssa Bastos will be going back to the ADCC World Championships, as she has been officially invited in the -55kg division. Bastos previously won the South American Trials in 2022 before losing first round at -60kg. She regularly competes at roosterweight and light-feather in IBJJF competition, 47.5 & 52.5kg.

The ADCC made the announcement today via Instagram;
The -55kg division is new to ADCC, which expanded from 2 to 3 weight classes for this year's World Championships. With only 8 competitors per weight, the invites will be more sparse than the men's divisions. Already invited to the Worlds is UFC contender and former ADCC champion Mackenzie Dern, who will join previous medalists and Trials winners.
