Gesias Cavalcante, better known by his nickname "JZ', is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu and luta livre black belt and retired MMA fighter from Rio de Janeiro. Born on July 6, 1983, Gesias Cavalcante lives in Derrfield Beach, FL and represents Fight Sports. As an MMA fighter he was the 2006 and 2007 K-1 HERO's Middleweight Champion. He also fought for organizations such as Strikeforce, DREAM, Shooto, WSOF and Cage Rage. He is a veteran of grappling events such as Fight to Win, KASAI and is a regular IBJJF competitor.
