Rafaela Guedes of Atos will be in action at Tezos WNO 20: Night of Champions, defending her heavyweight title against Nathiely de Jesus.

The IBJJF No-Gi Pans Championship on October 14-16 in Garland, TX will feature more than 30 of the top female black belt competitors of today. We expect to see the final brackets later tonight, (update: they're here!) but no matter how they take form, the favorites — women like Nathieley de Jesus, Ana Rodrigues and Elisabeth Clay — will remain the same. Here are the top women to watch this weekend.

Many familiar and unfamiliar names will enter their bid for the IBJJF No-Gi Pans Championships this weekend. While athletes may still move between divisions, whatever way the women’s divisions shape up is sure to deliver exciting matches in both brown and black belt divisions.

The return of Worlds, the growth of WNO, and the emergence of a new generation of champion grapplers– just a handful of the high points of a rollercoaster 12-month period that rarely took its foot off the gas pedal. The long-anticipated debut of heel hooks in the IBJJF no-gi format has finally arrived. The Dallas No-Gi Open went down on Sunday, March 7. It was a historic event as the first tournament in the history of the IBJJF to allow heel hooks for adult brown and black belts.

WNO always brings together the best no-gi talent in the world, and this event is no exception.

Gabi Garcia is one of the most dominant jiu-jitsu competitors of all time. She’s a four-time ADCC champion and a multiple-time IBJJF world champion. She had a five-year undefeated streak from 2010 to 2015, and she has only three losses on her record in the five years since.
