Brianna Ste-Marie will take on Mayssa Bastos at Tezos WNO presented by Fat Tire in Frisco, TX on November 11. Ste-Marie vs Bastos has replaced Pedro Marinho vs Giancarlo Bodoni in the main event, as both men were injured ahead of their scheduled title fight.

The IBJJF No-Gi Pans Championship on October 14-16 in Garland, TX will feature more than 30 of the top female black belt competitors of today. We expect to see the final brackets later tonight, (update: they're here!) but no matter how they take form, the favorites — women like Nathieley de Jesus, Ana Rodrigues and Elisabeth Clay — will remain the same. Here are the top women to watch this weekend.

Every two years, the ADCC World Championships returns as the pinnacle of no-gi grappling, showcasing the elite talents in the sport.  Those athletes have spent the previous years working to qualify for the prestigious event, or preparing to fend off hungry newcomers on a mission to stake their claim as the world’s best.

The IBJJF Pan Championships is underway, and over the first few days, hundreds of aspiring grapplers will try to prove that they are the next generation of world class talent. Any of the purple and brown belts could send that point home with an impressive showing of dominant jiu-jitsu at Pans, but there are a few who have already earned our attention.

The second and final North American Trials went down over the weekend, and the biggest ADCC in history certainly did not disappoint. Over 1,000 competitors threw down in the Westgate Hotel and Casino and the end result was some of the most exciting grappling of all time.

Leglocks, like all submissions, are an important component of Tezos WNO. They have counted for a large portion of the match ending moves on the WNO mats, and many athletes have relied heavily — or repeatedly fallen victim to — lower body submissions.

Two more WNO champions will be crowned tonight at Tezos WNO: Criag Jones vs Pedro Marinho. In the main event, Craig Jones (4-1) will try for his fourth submission victory on WNO as he fights to become WNO's first light heavyweight champion. He'll face Pedro Marinho, an IBJJF No-Gi World Champion making his WNO debut in the title shot.

Jiu-jitsu has always played a vital role both in and out of the ring, providing athletes with a path to glory and financial reward, while reminding the world that the most sophisticated grappling art is an indispensable part of any fighter’s arsenal.

Online betting sites such as BetOnline and BetDSI will soon release money lines for WNO: Craig Jones vs Pedro Marinho. The January 21 card is scheduled to feature six main card bouts as well as three undercard matchups. There are money lines for each, including straight up bets and juicy props. With Jon Calestine out of WNO, his opponent Estevan Martinez will be promoted to a title shot. The reigning WNO Bantamweight Champion, Mikey Musumeci, has stepped up on short notice to replace Calestine against Martinez, and will put his title on the line against the Giant Slayer.

Pedro Marinho was just a purple belt in 2019 the first time he faced Craig Jones at Kasai 5. The rising star from Gracie Barra took Jones to a draw in the April event in New York, part of the eight-man 205 lb tournament.
