ADCC East Coast Trials Champion Dorian Olivarez was able to win a junior folkstyle national championship over the weekend, defeating #1 Pierson Manville 2-1 in a close match to cap off a dark horse run to first place. The win came in the U20 144lb bracket, which featured multiple nationally-ranked high school wrestlers. Dorian, still only high school age, will be competing in the ADCC World Championships later this year in the -66kg division.

Olivarez is the 6th-ranked 145lb grappler in the world after his breakout performance at Trials, where he defeated athletes like Gianni Grippo, Ethan Crelinsten, and Dominic Mejia. While he hasn't had any grappling matches since that event, he has stayed busy in both freestyle and folkstyle wrestling.
