ADCC has announced the first member of the 2024 Hall of Fame class; 2-time Champion and record holder for most matches & wins Xande Ribeiro
ADCC has announced the first member of the 2024 ADCC Hall of Fame class; 2-time champion and record holder for most matches & wins Xande Ribeiro. He will join the inaugural class that was inducted in 2022.
The induction ceremony will take place at the T-Mobile arena as a part of the 2024 World Championships. Xande won the tournament twice, in 2007 and 2009 in the -99kg category, and medaled 4 other times including absolute silver in 2009. He is the record holder for most matches (43) and most wins (30) in the history of the tournament.
Xande is also a nine-time IBJJF World Champion, seven in the gi and two no-gi. He has had one of the most successful competitive careers ever, before retiring at the 2022 ADCC World Championships.
