ADCC North American Trials Reach Capacity At 77kg
The organizers of the ADCC North American Trials have announced they have reached capacity at 77kg and will accept no more competitors
The ADCC North American Trials have reached full capacity at 77kg, organizers have announced, with 256 competitors currently registered for the event. The Trials hard capped each division at 256 - which represents seven rounds of matches to win gold - and will accept no further applicants.
Athletes can still register for the other weight classes, but those also will be cut off at the 256 maximum. There will be a second Trials on the West Coast early next year, but that will also have a similar limit.
The ADCC Trials represent the path for any grappler to punch their ticket to the biggest submission grappling tournament on Earth. There's no belt or accomplishments necessary, meaning anyone can take their shot against the best. The most recent winners of the North American Trials at 77kg included eventual World Champion Kade Ruotolo.
