Kenny Florian Repping His Jiu-Jitsu Roots Gets Gold at IBJJF Tournament
With an eye on No-Gi Worlds at the end of the year, former MMA fighter and UFC title challenger Kenny Florian explains how and why he came back to his first love and competed in the gi at the 2019 IBJJF Long Beach Open.
"This is where my roots are, I had no intention of being a mixed martial arts fighter. Jiu-jitsu is where my heart has always been. To have the opportunity to be back here and now to live in Southern California and have tournaments all the time and compete against a lot of great guys on the West Coast has always been a dream of mine."
