Throwback Thursday: Cole Abate Becomes First Ever F2W Kids Champion
All the way back at Fight to Win Pro 27, the Fight to Win crew did something they hadn't done before; put a kids championship belt up for grabs.
With the talent base growing all across the country and as Seth Daniels and #teamnosleep continue to mine for up and coming jiu-jitsu talent it's a no-brainer to start recognizing more and more of the kids who keep winning.
Take Cole Abate, a FIVE time Fight to Win Pro veteran and still only an orange belt at twelve years old. While competing in Austin, Texas 'Ice' Cole Abate took on Jesus Salazar in the first ever kids title match. Cole made quick work of Salazar with an armbar finish, a move that Cole has hit in previous Fight to Win shows, and take home a shiny new championship belt.
