Vitor 'Shaolin' Ribeiro On His Comeback to Jiu-Jitsu

Vitor 'Shaolin' Ribeiro is considered to be one of the greatest lightweight competitors in the history of jiu-jitsu. Getting his black belt at only 18 years of age, 'Shaolin' is a three-time black belt world champion winning in 1999, 2000 and 2001.

At 37 years of age Ribeiro has been making a comeback to jiu-jitsu after a nine-year, 25-fight MMA career, beginning with a superfight in 2012 versus Elvis 'Nino' Schembri (another great competitor of the late 90s). Since then, he has followed with superfights in Polaris and at the Abu Dhabi World Pro, and most recently took gold at the IBJJF World Master Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Las Vegas. 

Shaolin talks about the return to his roots of gi jiu-jitsu, his love for the constant evolution and development of the art, and his plans for the future.
