Twisted Church returned for its second event in Columbus, OH on Saturday, Oct. 22. Ethan Crelinsten submitted each of his opponents in the main event, a 16-man lightweight tournament, to win the $10,000 grand prize.

En route to the championship, Crelinsten rattled off three impressive submission victories, dominating each match. After scoring a mounted triangle submission over David Barnes (Atos ATL) in the opening round, Crelinsten finished both Emilio Hernandez (ZR Team) and Reese LeFever (New Wave) via rear naked choke.  In the final bout, Crelinsten showed off his control game, and eventually secured an armbar victory over David Stoilescu of Australia (Sydney West Martial Arts).

Like Crelinsten, Stoilescu earned his spot in the finals with submissions in each of his first three matches.  Stoilescu landed heel hooks over PJ Broom and Gustavo Dos Santos in the first two rounds, then a third over recent No-Gi Pan champ Deandre Corbe (Standard Jiu-Jitsu). 

Crelinsten and Stoilescu had coached each other throughout the event making for an interesting finals matchup.

In the featured superfights on the card, Nikki Sullivan (Atos HQ) submitted Laura Hallock via RNC (GF Team) and Brad Schneider (PSF/Adamas) took out Yeppie Tomasian (CTA) via crucifix submission.
