Roberto Jimenez
The 20 year old made his black belt debut at the first WNO event back in January, where he defeated Keenan Cornelius in gi competition. I will focus on his biggest no-gi victories here, as those translate more to this upcoming no-gi match with Dante. That's not going to be hard, as Roberto has an incredible 17 no-gi matches since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
vs William Tackett at Jitz King - Roberto took this one on points, in a matchup of two of the most exciting up and comers on the scene.
vs Tye Ruotolo at 3CG - This one went to overtime, and they also later had a controversial no contest that was initially ruled a win for Roberto.
vs Vagner Rocha at 3CG - a referee decision over the two time ADCC medalist, this win was a huge statement for Roberto's no-gi potential.
vs Nick Rodriguez at 3CG - another referee decision, this one against the massive ADCC silver medalist Nicky Rod.
vs Kade Ruotolo at 3CG - Roberto's second win against a Ruotolo brother, he got the choke here to advance to the finals.
Dante Leon
Dante Leon made his name on the superfight circuit in 2019, earning an invite to ADCC which he capitalized on with a run to the semis. He has since gone on to win the 2019 No-Gi worlds and also won his last match at WNO vs Kody Steele.
vs Lucas Lepri ADCC 2019 - The match that put Dante on most fans radar, when he took the back of the legendary hall of famer.
vs Jaime Canuto IBJJF No-Gi Worlds 2019 - Maybe Dante's biggest achievement so far, where he breaks Jaime's arm en route to a points victory in the final.
vs Isaque Bahiense at F2W - Guillotine finish over the black belt world champ here.
vs Renato Canuto at KASAI - Points victory for Dante to even their series at 1-1.
vs Johnny Tama at F2W - Clash of two 2019 No-Gi Worlds champs, Dante gets the triangle to secure the victory.
