Bruno Reagan is no stranger to high-caliber competition. He played football for Vanderbilt University and in the XFL, he was an All-American wrestler in high school, and he’s been practicing judo since he was three years old.
Now, less than three months after receiving his blue belt, he’s also an IBJJF Pans double-gold medalist.
To start the day, he was the bottom seed in the ultra heavyweight division, having never previously competed in an IBJJF tournament.
Reagan, a Shawn Hammonds blue belt, utilized his judo skills and his nimble movement to rack up 64 unanswered points and five submissions in his climb to double-gold.
In the open-weight class, he went head to head with division favorite Rayron Gracie, leaning on this takedown pedigree and top pressure to secure the win.
