One of the greatest ever gi players will return in November. Rodolfo Vieira will join the growing lineup of stars for the 2019 Spyder Invitational BJJ Championship Final.

Vieira, 30, is a four-time IBJJF World champion who has only competed in the gi once since 2014. He took a hiatus from grappling after winning ADCC in 2015 and started an MMA career which saw him go 6-0 and get signed to the UFC. He competed in the Black Belt CBD pro invitational in 2018 and defeated IBJJF World champion Mahamed Aly on points.

Rodolfo will compete in the -100kg division and joins 2019 IBJJF World champ Kaynan Duarte and Leandro Lo, among others. He is joined by 2015 IBJJF and ADCC World champion Claudio Calasans, who returns to Spyder after taking second in the Spyder BJJ Invitational Championship Qualifier in March of this year.

-100kg:

The -76kg division has been bolstered by the addition of 2018 Spyder BJJ champion Johnatha Alves and brown belt Matheus Lutes, who is the only colored belt in the lightweight division. While still a brown belt, Alves earned wins over Paulo Miyao and Jamil Hill-Taylor, setting up the possibility of a rematch here at Spyder.
