The stacked KASAI 135lb tournament goes down on August 17 and we finally know how the 4-man round-robin groups will look! 

Group A

• Joao Miyao 
• Rafael "Barata" Freitas
• Richard Alarcon

Group B

• Jon Calestine 
• Geo Martinez 
• Masakazu Imanari
• Edwin Junny Ocasio

As a reminder of what to expect, KASAI Pro tournament matches are 6 minutes long and use points. The eight competitors are split into two groups of four. Using a round-robin format, they go against every other opponent in their group and earn points based on the result of the match. 

Group Scoring

• Win by submission = 3 points
• Win by points = 2 points
• Draw = 1 point
• Loss = 0 points 

They are placed into a leaderboard and the highest-placed competitor goes through into the final to face off with his counterpart in the other group. The second-highest grapplers will compete for third place. 

In the event of a draw in the final and third place matches there is a two-minute sudden death overtime period (golden score). The judges will render a decision if the score is still tied after overtime.
