The champion in each weight class qualifies to represent the United States at the 2019 Grappling World Championships. United World Wrestling has not yet announced the date and site of the 2019 Grappling Worlds, but it is expected to be held in the fall of 2019. The Grappling World Championships is a self-funded tour, covered by the participating athletes.

The event will be hosted at the Bill Farrell Wrestling Center, which is located on the first floor of Sports Center II at U.S. Olympic Training Center (USOTC). This eight-mat facility is the training location for USA Wrestling at the USOTC, which hosts daily training for USA Wrestling’s resident programs and national teams.

The competition is for Senior-level Grapplers, who are 20 and older (Born 1999 or before). The weight classes in UWW Grappling are:

Men: 62 kg, 66 kg, 71 kg, 77 kg, 84 kg, 92 kg, 100 kg, +100kg

Women: 53 kg, 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, +71kg

No-Gi Grappling will be contested on Saturday, June 22, with Gi-Grappling on Sunday, June 23. Weigh-ins will be held on the morning of each style. Athletes who compete in both styles must weigh in each morning for that specific style.
