Saturday, February 16 giants take the stage as Mahamed Aly (TLI) and Max Gimenes (GF Team) battle for the Fight 2 Win Super-Heavyweight title (gi) in Rancho Rio, New Mexico.

Aly has been on a rampage since becoming the 2018 IBJJF super-heavyweight world champion. Known for his volatile top game, Aly is an all-around dangerous competitor. His aggressive passing has defeated the best guards, including that of 2017 World Champion Nicholas Meregali. His judo has seen him stand toe-to-toe with the legendary Rodolfo Vieira, and his guard is as dynamic as they come. 

Aly is widely considered the favorite going into this event with 86% of FloGrappling fans choosing the #1-ranked super-heavyweight. 

Don’t count out long-time opponent Max Gimenes– ranked #13 at ultra-heavyweight– who is making his Fight 2 Win debut and prepared to make a statement and take the belt.

Gimenes and Aly have been facing off since they were purple belts, and met even as recently as October 2018 at the World Series of Grappling, where Aly won via toe hold. 

That has just fueled the motivation for Gimenes in this title fight rematch. He's no stranger to the top of the world class podium, taking gold as a super-heavyweight brown belt in 2016, and is eager for an aggressive and fast-paced match that comes with the submission only format.

In addition to 38 submission-only gi and no-gi matches, the Fight 2 Win 102 card will also host a black belt judo match with rigorous, old school rules sure to thrill the audience.
