Ron Keslar Gets Sub-Only No-Gi Title Shot vs Jake Shields at Fight 2 Win 98
The four-time F2W veteran Ron Keslar faces off with Jake Shields at Fight 2 Win 98 in San Jose, and there is a no-gi title belt on the line.
Fight 2 Win’s mission is simple: showcase kick-ass jiu-jitsu and grappling matches all over the country and help grow the local scene from kids through to black belts.
One of the things that Fight 2 Win is proud of is that they offer a chance for competitors to fight their way up the ranks and earn the right to challenge the “big” names.
That’s exactly what Ron Keslar did so that he could face Jake Shields on Fight 2 Win 98 on January 19 in San Jose.
A four-time Fight 2 Win veteran, the former MMA fighter’s last outing under the bright lights was a decision win over Rhalan Gracie at F2W 94.
This time Keslar steps up to face veteran grappler (and also former MMA fighter) Jake Shields.
Shields last appeared on F2W 62, winning a decision over Aussie standout Kit Dale. He’s also appeared on ADCC, Submission Underground, Polaris and more. With a gritty, wrestling-based style of grappling Shields is a tough opponent for anybody– even more so since he moved to New York and has been training daily with John Danaher at the Renzo Gracie Academy.
Keslar and Shields will dispute the 185lb Masters No-Gi title, and you can watch the entire Fight 2 Win 98 show LIVE or On Demand ONLY on FloGrappling. Click for more info.
