Levi Jones-Leary vs Roberto Satoshi - 77kg Semi-Final
Levi Jones-Leary made his black belt debut like x. He took down the UAE based Brazilian Adriano Arujo in the quarterfinals match, and then went on to have a flawless performance against the legend Roberto Satoshi in the semi-finals before coming up an advantage short to Deigo Ramalho int he 77kg final.
Paulo Miyao vs Tiago Bravo β 69kg Final
Paulo Miyao has promised to take over in 2019, and so far heβs made good on his word with an excellent showing at the ADGS Abu Dhabi. Miyao met long-time rival Tiago Bravo in the final and was able to finish the match with a beautiful bow and arrow choke.
Mayssa Bastos vs Amal Amjahid β 55kg Semi-Final
Mayssa Bastos was forced to move up a division due to lack of competitors in her normal weight class, certainly a frustrating scenario for her, but one that led to one of the more intriguing matchups of the day.

The Grand Slam series has nearly turned into the Erberth Santos β every single person in the arena seems to be patiently waiting for the unpredictable and thrilling athelte to step on to the mats and do his thing. Tainan Dalpra vs Reda Hamzaoui - 85kg Purple Belt Semi-Final
Tainan Dalra, the young AOJ / Atos star had 4 fights and four submissions on his way to 85kg gold at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam. Despite being greatly undersized when compared to most of the athletes in his division, Dalpra cut through them all with ease and showed the composure of a veteran.
