With the fourth leg of the ADGS Jiu-Jitsu World Tour 2018-19 soon to be hosted in Abu Dhabi on January 10-12, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has announced a new addition to the global tour of events for the 2019-20 season. 

“Our strategic plans for 2019-2020 are already set in motion; Season 5 of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam will be increased to six host cities, with the new addition of Moscow, Russia,” said H.E. Abdulmunam Al Hashemi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, President of Jiu-Jitsu Asian Union & Senior Vice President of Jiu-Jitsu International Federation.

Leg 1: Moscow, Russia. June 15-16, 2019 – Arena Triumph

Leg 2: Tokyo, Japan. July 27-28, 2019 – OTA Gymnasium

Leg 3: Los Angeles, USA. September 21-22, 2019 – LA Convention Center 

Leg 4: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. November 1-3, 2019 – Carioca Arena

Leg 5: Abu Dhabi, UAE. January 16-18, 2020 – Mubadala Arena

Leg 6: London, UK. March 7-8, 2020 – Copper Box Arena

After three record-breaking events in Tokyo, Los Angeles and Rio de Janeiro, the ADGS Abu Dhabi will be held over three days in the United Arab Emirates before it heads to its fifth and final leg in London on March 9-10.

Prize money awarded will range from $500 to $2,500 in several categories, including juvenile, adult and masters, from blue, purple, brown and black categories for both men and women.

The first-place winner in the different weight categories will receive 200 points, the second-place winner will receive 160 points and the third-place winner will receive 120 points. Fourth place will receive 100 points. Fifth to Eighth place will receive 80 points.
