The third installment of Grapplefest returns in November with Matheus Diniz returning to the promotion to face UK stalwart, Dan Strauss.
Co-headling is Gianni Grippo vs Ross Nicholls in a meeting which promises to be a highly technical contest between two of their respective countries most exciting young black belts.
Diniz returns to Grapplefest looking to make amends following a polarizing decision loss to Craig Jones in September. Diniz continues his foray into submission-only matches by meeting Strauss just a couple of weeks after his scheduled match against Gordan Ryan at Kasai 4.

Strauss is no stranger to this kind of event either, breaking onto the international submission-only stage with an explosive meeting with AJ Agazarm in 2015 on Polaris 2. He’s most recently competed for Team Polaris and fought to a draw with Dustin Akbari at Quintet 3 earlier this month.
Gianni Grippo has been on a competitive tear recently, winning gold at the Miami Open this past weekend, taking gold over Brian Maheca with a toehold. He also took gold at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam in Los Angeles last month, beating Paulo Miyao in the final. Most notably, he enters the contest as the World No Gi Pan Am champion after taking gold last month
Nicholls, who meets him, is no slouch. Watch his awesome performance in the ADCC trials earlier this month to book his place at next year’s ADCC in California blow. Nicholls, like Diniz in the main event, was featured on the last Grapplefest – taking a win via heel hook over Sean McDonagh.
