The UAEJJF arrived in Southern California for another installment of the World Jiu-Jitsu Tour on Sep 22-23, attracting some of the best competitors from the local area.
The high level of jiu-jitsu was on display throughout. We saw many standout moments, including:
- Gianni Grippo beating Paulo Miyao in a nail-biter
- Brown belt Matheus Lutes move up from 77kg to 110kg to take gold against the ultra-heavyweights
- Brand new brown belt Gabi Pessanha taking out two-time World champion Nathiely de Jesus
