1. Tom DeBlass vs. Lou Armezzani
Main Event: 220lb Black Belt No-Gi
It's always a must-see event when Tom DeBlass steps onto the mat and Saturday night in Pittsburgh will be no different. Making the trek from his hometown of Bayville, NJ, he'll be facing off against Pittsburgh's own Lou Armezzani in a submission-only main event.
DeBlass has gone up against the biggest names in the sport and Armezzani will provide a new challenge for the ADCC veteran. The match will be contested at 220lb, which is a jump down from where DeBlass usually competes.
Armezzani has impressed on the Fight To Win stage and will undoubtedly be eager to secure what would be a monumental win for the local black belt.
2. Chris Dempsey vs Calvin Tacey
205lb No-Gi
Tom Deblass isn't the only former UFC fighter on the card. Pittsburgh's own Chris Dempsey will be making his Fight to Win debut on Saturday as well.
This Bellator and UFC veteran may not be known for his grappling skills but don't sleep on his chokes. Dempsey has a number of submission wins in his MMA career including a nasty guillotine he likes to hit on wrestlers.
Tacey is another OCBJJ grappler so you know he trains with elite caliber athletes like Deblass. But he'll be making his debut as well and while this matchup has a lot of questions marks on it don't be surprised if it ends up being fight of the night!
3. Georgina Staley vs. Abi Pacinelli
130lb Brown Belt Gi
Last weekend in Philly, Abi Pacinelli became the Fight To Win Pro women's brown belt lightweight champion. Just seven days after she won the title, she'll put it on the line against Georgina Staley.
Pacinelli is incredibly active on the Fight To Win circuit, boasting a 3-2 record spanning from purple to brown belt. Her opponent is also an F2W mainstay, racking up two wins and one loss on the green stage.
Both these women come to scrap and it's the perfect matchup for Saturday night in Pittsburgh. The winner here will leave champion.
4. Mike Ross vs. David Gonzalez
195lb Purple Belt No-Gi
Traveling along with Tom DeBlass from Jersey to Pittsburgh for Saturday's show is OCBJJ purple belt David Gonzalez. Here at FloGrappling, we've been keeping an eye on this East Coast prospect and his style is tailor-made for Fight to Win.
Gonzalez will be looking to make it 3-0 under the Fight To Win banner, but to do that he'll have to get through Pennsylvania's own Mike Ross.
5. Ryan Arreola vs. Justin Bensema
165lb Purple Belt No-Gi
Purple belt Ryan Arreola is a Marine veteran with two combat tours in Afghanistan and will be making his second appearance at Fight to Win. We chronicled his match last year at Fight To Win Pro 42, and after an impressive toe-hold finish, he's back for another taste of the biggest party in grappling.
Arreola's opponent, Justin Bensema. trains out of PA Combat Sports and will challenge his fellow Pennsylvanian on Saturday night.
