Fight To Win Pro held their 60th show this evening in Reno, Nevada.
The main event featured F2W Pro’s 2017 Male Gi Black Belt of the year Marcos Torregrosa and Jerry Hallert out of Komainu Gym.
The match opened with Torregrosa sitting to butterfly guard, initially hunting for a leg to attack, but instead changing his mind to come up for top position. He hit a textbook kneecut pass and then opted to cook Hallery in side control under heavy pressure.
After several minutes of control, Torregrosa isolated an arm and spun for the submission, but he had to settle for back mount instead. The clock expired with Torregrossa on the back; he took the victory by unanimous referee's decision.
The co-main bout of the evening featured F2W veteran Cassio Werneck vs Jeff Messina of BJJ Revolution.
Werneck was able to capitalize off a weak guard pull, placing himself in prime passing position with a heavy crossface. He quickly passed directly to north-south position with more than four minutes left on the clock to work. Messina bridged and attempted to initiate a scramble, opening himself up to attack: Werneck caught the arm and finished the match via armbar.
