The two men wasted no time getting down to business- Alexander pulled guard and Almeida immediately began to lay on the pressure. Though Alexander controlled the opening moments, Almeida soon placed himself in the driver's seat after a nice sweep from half guard.
And once the 'Big Dog', got on top, he stayed there.
Passing at will, Almeida threatened several submission attempts until he decided to drop back into the honey-hole / saddle position, and finished Alexander with an inside heel hook. A dominant win over a tough opponent.
Another incredible performance came from 2x Brazilian National Champion and current UFC fighter Wilson Reis, who made his F2W Pro debut against Matt Schellenschlager. Schellenschlager, last minute replacement for Bruno Dias, proved to be an exceptionally game opponent, fending off some deep submission attempts. Reis won the match by unanimous decision.
