Tom DeBlass & Joao Assis To Fight For No-Gi Heavyweight Title At F2W Pro 43
Fight to Win Pro 43 is returning to New Jersey for a massive headline event featuring Tom DeBlass and Joao Assis. F2W Pro 43 will stream live on FloGrappling on Saturday, August 5, starting at 6 PM EST.
Fight to Win Pro's last event in New Jersey was one of its best yet, and on August 5, the promotion will make it happen once again in the Garden State with a massive main event involving Tom DeBlass and Joao Assis at F2W Pro 43.
DeBlass headlined (and won) the last NJ event against Ricco Rodriguez. A New Jersey native, DeBlass has fought in the UFC and won the ADCC American Trials multiple times -- as recently as 2016.
Assis is another accomplished black belt -- he's a 2013 ADCC champion and won the No-Gi Worlds twice. Like DeBlass, Assis is also a F2W veteran and actually competed at the promotion's first event. His last Fight to Win appearance ended with a controversial split decision in his favor against Mikey Perez, earning Assis the black belt no-gi heavyweight title. Now it remains to be seen if he'll be able to hold onto it when he faces DeBlass.
