Andris Brunovskis Defeats John Combs At Fight To Win Pro 32
Fight to Win Pro's first Cleveland event was a massive success, with more than two dozen explosive matches playing out on the stage throughout the night. And after it was all over, Atos BJJ's Andris Brunovskis was crowned the winner of the main event of the evening over six-time F2W Pro veteran John Combs.
Brunovskis started out playing a tight guard against his opponent, not letting Combs get the opportunity to establish control and using everything from lapels to Combs' belt to hold him where he wanted him. As the match progressed, Brunovskis worked to attack Combs' legs and feet, which Combs initially defended. But in the end, Combs was unable to escape a tight kneebar on a leg he'd previously injured, and he was forced to tap out and leave Brunovskis victorious.
The co-main event of the evening saw Mark Vives win via split decision over Pablo Castro after one of the most intense matches of the evening.
The next Fight to Win Pro event will take place on April 29 in Chicago, Illinois.
