Update: STACKED Brackets At Marianas Open Pro Event To Promise HUGE Matches
The Marianas Open has the double honor of being the biggest jiu-jitsu event in Micronesia, and also as being a highly-respected tournament with a huge cash prize that attracts world class talent from around the world!
The Marianas Open has the double honor of being the biggest jiu-jitsu event in Micronesia, and also as being a highly-respected tournament with a huge cash prize that attracts world class talent from around the world!
And if you needed convincing as to why this event is such a big deal, all you need to do is look at the absolutely STACKED brackets.
Lightweight and heavyweight pro divisions will run, with the winner of both brackets being invited to square off an in absolute superfight at the end of the tournament!
The lightweight division contains big names such as Edwin Najmi, Michael Liera Jr, Isaque Bahiense, Renato Canuto and Johnny Tama. Liera Jr and Tama meet in the first round, with Edwin on the same side of the bracket. Bahiense will need to beat Viking Wong of Hong Kong / UK to face the winner of Renato Canuto and local boy Mike Sanchez.
In the heavyweight bracket we have names including Felipe Pena, Tanner Rice, Tarsis Humphreys and Nick Calvanese all facing Guam-based grapplers. Pena and Rice sit on the side of the 8-man bracket, with Tarsis and Calvanese on the other.
