One of the most technical lighter weight grapplers of all time, Caio Terra will make his Fight To Win debut April 29.
An 11-time IBJJF world champion (nine times no-gi, twice in the gi), Terra will face noted MMA fighter and jiu-jitsu specialist Jeff Curran in the main event of Fight To Win Pro 33 in Chicago.
Hailing from Illinois, Curran is a third degree jiu-jitsu black belt under Pedro Sauer with an extensive MMA career that saw him fight 54 times. He won 21 matches via submission.
The match will be a 10-minute submission-only bout in the gi.
Fight To Win president Seth Daniels had this to say about the match-up:
"Caio is one of the few super stars we have not had on the Fight To Win Pro stage. We've had a lot of his students who have done extremely well, two of them are Fight To Win Champions [Andy Murasaki and Nicole Evangelista]. We have tried to make this happen for a while now and this is just the right time for him. Chicago is a perfect place for his debut against one of the most successful fighters Chicago has ever had in Jeff Curran. We promised the fans and fighters of Chicago an incredible event and what better way then to have one of the greatest of all time take the stage in the main event!"
