Two pro black belt divisions (-180lb and 180lb+) will offer big cash prizes to the winners, with the two champions later facing off for a possible $7,000 prize!
And the names confirmed for the event include stars such as Leandro Lo, Felipe Pena, Edwin Najmi, Isaque Bahiense, and more!
"We are a tiny Island in the Pacific that has one of the biggest hearts and love for jiu-jitsu. We open our home to everyone who has best intentions of helping and promoting our island paradise," event promoter Steve Shimizu said.
How it works
The day will start with an open tournament. At around 10 AM local time (Chamorro Time) the main show begins, and the two pro divisions will run. The prize for first place in each division is $3,000. Second and third place get $1,500 and $500, respectively.
At the end of both divisions, the first-place winners are invited to compete against each other in an absolute superfight for an additional $7,000, to make it a grand total of $10K for the overall winner.
