Osvaldo 'Queixinho' Becomes New Lightweight Champ At Fight To Win Pro 23
SAN JOSE, California -- Osvaldo "Queixinho" Moizinho defeated Bruno Frazatto for the lightweight gi title in the main event of Fight to Win Pro 23 last night.

Queixinho and Frazatto's match was slow at times but extremely technical, with both fighters playing a tight game and really using the gis to effectively manage various guard positions.

As the fight neared its end Queixinho went for various leg and foot locks, including a kneebar and a toe hold. Although he was unsuccessful in submitting Frazatto, the attempts won him the favor of the judges, who unanimously awarded him the victory and made him the new lightweight gi champion of Fight to Win Pro.

Queixinho's victory comes nearly six years after he was defeated by Frazatto at Pan Ams, which was the last time the two met in competition before their match last night.

The main event followed an exciting co-main event between Kim Terra and Danny Bohigian, which saw Terra winning by unanimous decision after an intense toe-hold battle between the two competitors. Another highly anticipated fight between Paul Nava and Kurt Osiander ended with Nava winning the match by unanimous decision.
