The match has been a long time coming. F2W CEO Seth Daniels said that he's been wanting to make it a reality since Fight to Win Pro 2, in which Silva defeated Nobuo Yagai with a choke. But the grappler's demanding schedule forced him to focus on running his academies and teaching his students rather than preparing to train for a match of his own.

Fight to Win has grown exponentially since Silva's first appearance, and his time on the stage in his hometown is going to be a huge deal for jiu-jitsu enthusiasts in Houston.
But the crowd support alone isn't going to carry him to victory against the reigning champ -- Silva is strong, but Yoshida is known for being quicker and craftier.
"I honestly have no idea who's going to win," Daniels said. "But that's what makes this matchup so great. These are two incredibly talented fighters, and it's going to be an awesome show."
Brown belt world champions Manuel Diaz and Pedro Araujo will compete against each other during the co-main event of the evening, making this event one you don't want to miss.
