About Hunter Ewald

For Hunter Ewald this is no dream. The jiu-jitsu black belt was born and raised in Hawaii, and now lives in Miami, Florida where he trains with Cyborg at Fight Sports. 

From world-class waves to world-class training partners, Hunter's embodies the best elements of most people's dream jiu-jitsu lifestyle. 

Ewald -- who's father Bruno is also a jiu-jitsu black belt -- is one of the 8 men vying for the $10,000 grand prize at Grappling Pro Championships this weekend. 

Hunter took third place at this year's IBJJF World Championships in the brown belt division, and we've seen him in action plenty of times here on FloGrappling.
