All athletes made weight for the Copa Podio Middleweight Grand Prix. Erberth Santos and Max Gimenis had the biggest and toughest weight cuts.
Santos suffered making weight, constantly checking the scale in the lead up to the official ceremony. He came in exactly 85.9kg, 0.2lb under the cut off of 86kg (189.6lb), stripping naked to make weight.
Gimenis reportedly cut around 13kg (29lb) in total to make weight, although didn’t look too worse the wear for it.
Alexander Trans, who will face Braulio Estima, also had to shed his clothes to come in at 106.6kg (235lb), a full 14.6 kg heavier than his opponent Braulio Estima (92kg / 203lb).
Champion Leandro Lo came in just 0.3kg under the cut-off, but was wearing sweatpants and a T-shirt when he stepped on the scale.
