Copa Podio Middleweight Grand Prix competitor Victor Estima picked up a big win this weekend.
Estima got gold medals in his weight class and the absolute division of the IBJJF British Nationals in Birmingham, United Kingdom, beating Jackson Sousa in the finals of the openweight class.
This should boost his confidence for the Copa Podio tournament, which goes down in Argentina on July 9.
Estima has had a tough year and suffered from persistent injuries that required surgery. Last month, he left his belt on the mat following a loss to Marcos Tinoco at the IBJJF World Championships. Usually, this signifies that a competitor will retire from Worlds.

I am glad I was able to put up a good performance today at the British Nationals winning double gold. I would like to thank all my friends and students for supporting through the process. Copa Podio is the next challenge.
