Photo: FloGrapplingFollowing his amazing escape from Erberth Santos’s armbar yesterday, Felipe Pena says his immediate future is uncertain.
The Gracie Barra black belt defeated Erberth Santos in the semi-finals of the absolute division yesterday at the 2016 IBJJF European Champoinships, but was forced to withdraw from the tournament. He was scheduled to fight in the heavyweight division.
“It’s not broken or dislocated, just hurt,” says Pena. “I will go home and get it checked out, I may need to rest for a while. Maybe I’ll be back for Pans.”
Pena was seen at the tournament walking around with his arm in a sling, yet was coaching his teammates with enthusiasm from the sidelines.
