The ADCC Champion & no.1 pound-for-pound grappler Gordon "The King" Ryan announced plans to step away from all competition for the foreseeable future
The ADCC superfight champion Gordon Ryan has announced plans to stay away from competition for the foreseeable future until lingering stomach issues are cleared up. The top pound-for-pound grappler said the only event he will do while focusing on his health will be the ADCC World Championships, scheduled in August 2024 at the T-Mobile Arena.

Gordon took to Instagram today to make the announcement, with more detail about his health issues and recovery efforts.
Gordon is the current ADCC superfight champion and is set to defend his title against 2022 open class champion Yuri Simoes. His last match was at WNO 20: Night of Champions, successfully defending his WNO Heavyweight Championship against Patrick Gaudio with an armbar.
