With 24 of the world's finest grapplers fighting across six divisional brackets: Men's Featherweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, & Ultra Heavyweight, and Women's Lightweight & Super Heavyweight.
The Crown features four men's and two women's brackets across six divisions, with 24 featured fighters who have combined for a cumulative 29 IBJJF World Championships gold medals. To raise the stakes, the IBJJF will award a $15,000 prize to the winner of each division, for a total of $120,000 awarded to the winners!

Men's Ultra-Heavyweight Crown Match - Erich Munis x Roosevelt Sousa
Closing out the night with a tightly contested match, Erich Munis' length and acrobatic guard proved to be the difference, earning several advantages from near sweeps.

Women's Super-Heavyweight Crown Match - Gabrielli Pessanha x Tayane Porfirio
Battling until the end, it was Pessanha who came out victorious. After lacking success on from guard, Pessanha scored a takedown off of a collar drag, then earned an advantage from a clock choke. Attempting a final effort from her guard, Porfirio fired off a late leg attack to no avail.

Men's Heavyweight Crown Match - Fellipe Andrew x Gustavo Batista
In a stellar performance for Fellipe Andrew, the 2023 World Champion scored the opening takedown before blazing his way to side control and then mount en route to victory.

Men's Middleweight Crown Match - Tainan Dalpra x Andy Murasaki
Dalpra pulled guard immediately, and Murasaki attempted a deep backstep pass but got stuck in a triangle. Patiently adjusting his position to counter Murasaki's defense, Dalpra then locked in the choke to win The Crown.

Men's Featherweight Crown Match - Samuel Nagai x Issac Doederlein
The Featherweight Crown Final came down to the wire, battling from Doederlein's open guard after Nagai scored an advantage in the match's opening double guard pull sequence. After a third double penalty was awarded, a wild scramble erupted, Doederlein seeking an ankle lock and Nagai to pass guard, but no advantages were awarded.

Women's Lightweight Crown Match - Nathalie Ribeiro vs Luiza Monteiro
Luiza Monteiro put on a show en route to winning The Crown! Opting to pull guard at the start, Monteiro swept Ribeiro to open the match. Eventually taking Ribeiro's back and achieving mount, Luiza racked up 12 points in her victory.

Women's Super-Heavyweight 3rd Place Match - Amy Campo x Melissa Stricker
Landing a sweep after pulling guard early, Stricker's crafty guard kept her resilient to Campo's constant pass attempts to secure 3rd place at The Crown.

Men's Middleweight 3rd Place Match - Pedro Maia x Mauricio Oliveira
Both fighters put on a great display in this back-and-forth bout, Oliveira scoring an early advantage from an ankle lock attempt and following it up with a takedown. Near the end of the fight, Maia landed a beautiful single-leg takedown.

Men's Featherweight 3rd Place Match - Diego Pato x Fabricio Andrey
Fast-paced from the start, Pato and Hokage put on a barnburner of a fight. Exchanging sweeps throughout the bout, the fight came down to an early advantage scored by Pato on a leg attack attempt after being tied at six points when the match ended.

After a prolonged period of inaction, while battling for grips between takedown attempts, both fighters were disqualified after reaching the maximum amount of awarded penalties.
Women's Super-Heavyweight - Tayane Porfirio x Melissa Stricker
Stalemated for much of the bout, Tayane broke through Stricker's guard with an over-under pass, nearly taking Stricker's back and flattening her out in the process. Cradling Stricker from the back, Porfirio found the finish with a collar choke!

Women's Super-Heavyweight - Gabrielli Pessanha x Amy Campo
After pulling guard, Pessanha scored an advantage from a near submission. Pessanha showed dominance and maintained control of Campo within her guard until the bout ended.

Men's Heavyweight - Gustavo Batista x Uanderson Ferreira
Uanderson scored the first advantage in a thrilling bout, nearly passing Batista's guard. However, the veteran Batista took control in the latter half of the bout, sweeping Ferreira and passing to side control. Nearly taking mount as time expired, Batista advances to the finals where Fellipe Andrew sits.

In a razor-thin bout, a near-back take from Murasaki was the difference to advance to the men's middleweight finals and set up a rematch of the 2022 IBJJF World Championships finals.

Men's Middleweight - Tainan Dalpra x Pedro Maia
Dalpra stayed calm and collected as he worked from open guard from the start. Earning a sweep around the midpoint of the bout, Dalpra kept the pressure on until the clock hit zero.

Men's Featherweight - Fabricio Andrey x Isaac Doederlein
Doederlein pulled guard from the start, and much of the fight was stalemated, neither fighter able to find success. In the closing sequence, Doederlein ramped up his efforts, attempting a late sweep and ankle lock to close the bout while Andrey showed his defensive capabilities.

An early contender for fight of the night, Nagai and Pato went the distance in a battle of reigning world champions. Coming down to the last seconds, Nagai held on to an ankle lock attempt to the match's end for the fight-winning advantage point.

In a closely fought bought, Monteiro scored the opening points, pulling guard then sweeping Ste-Marie. Excellently defending and countering Ste-Marie's attacks, Monteiro managed to control the pace of the fight for its duration.

After opening the match with a quick ankle pick for a takedown, Ribeiro maintained top control racking up an additional six points throughout the fight while evading the dangerous submission attempts of Lebre.
