Tackett closed his 2022 season off with a huge success; he won brown belt gold at the IBJJF No-Gi Worlds, submitting most of his opponents, and was promoted to black belt days later.

Known for his relentless pace and high-flying style, Tackett has one of the flashiest, most fan-friendly styles in the game today. He’ll be a huge test for relative newcomer Troy Russell.

Russell made his Tezos WNO debut in May 2023 in his hometown of Oklahoma City, OK, submitting Austin Oranday with an inside heel hook amid a leglock shootout. A black belt training under Rafael Lovato Jr., Russell has an attack-heavy style of jiu-jitsu that will make this match, the first on the main card at Tezos WNO 19 on August 10, a can’t miss.
